Agency Management Systems

Computer Screen with Various Data Pulls

Welcome, I am Ashlynne. I am one of the owners of VP Custom Insurance Solutions. My goal in writing this blog is to guide you in learning what insurance is. Answering those questions that no one seems to take the time to answer. To pull the curtain aside and let you peek into the workings of an agent. Now let’s get back to what you came here for.

Ok, so I know you are thinking, “Why does this matter to me?” or at least I know that is what I would be saying. I feel like whenever anyone thinks of an insurance agency they paint this picture. An older gentleman sitting in his office with mass amounts of paper files everywhere and a cigar hanging out of his mouth as he sits on the phone selling insurance to every unsuspecting soul.

Well that may have been insurance 30 years ago, and the insurance industry is known for being behind on making technological advancements, we are making fast leaping strides to catch up and provide our customers with fast, on-demand access to their insurance information. Allowing for our clients to have more freedom to get ahold of information they need in a hurry.

So how do agencies store your data and are able to pull up information on demand? Well I am happy to say that most of us have moved on from paper filling systems at least for the most part. Agency Management Software has been a real life saver for agencies. It allows us to store more information for our clients needs, access information instantaneously and keep track of everything in between. When you call into your agency, they most likely have a management software that is helping them. These systems are our life blood and we would not be functioning without them.

VP Custom Insurance has a completely paperless, cloud based management system. All our clients information is secured in cloud memory with some of the highest software protections out there. While our current agency management system has been very good to us and allowed us to come as far as we have, we have decided that it is in ours and our clients best interest to change to a new management system that better fits our needs and goals and allows our clients more freedom to access their information. We are very excited for this new adventure and hope all our clients will reap the benefits of this new system. We are dedicated to staying technologically relevant and not getting stuck with the stereo typical image of an outdated agency.

Why am I telling you this? Well in order to implement our new system, our employees need to go through some extensive training that will last about 1 week. Our management and ownership has decided that it is our clients and employees best interest if we close the office for that week of training to allow out staff to focus completely on training. It also makes sure that our clients are not getting rushed answers or hurried misplaced information from our staff that could cause them more issues. Please be patient with us as we learn our new system. Our office will be closed Monday, October 9th thru Friday, October 13th. We will be up and ready to go on Monday, October 16th.

We appreciate everyone’s understanding and patience during this time. We are, as always, so grateful to have such amazing support from our clients, friends, and family.
